My boys and I are planning on getting busy next week! I've been thinking, why not do some fun summer crafts that we can stash away for Christmas gifts? We usually make a good part of our gifts, and always have fun doing it. What better time than the lazy days of summer! This year, we are going to do some tye-dyed t-shirts in red and green. They will be gifts from our kids to their friends, cousins, etc. In the past we've done other gifts, including some for adults. Here are some ideas that we've tried:
rice heating pads
scarves
painting clear vases
cook book
handprint ornaments
handmade necklaces, bracelets, earrings
no-sew fleece blankets
fleece hats
candles
soaps
soup/cookie mixes
peppermint bark
buckeyes in a box
cookies/gingerbread in a jar
rosemary bread
painting on canvas
homemade salsa
mint tea
cranberry granola
aprons with reindeer handprints
simmering potpurri
My friend Sara has also made:
pillowcases
pajama bottoms
lap desk
I thought those were great ideas too!

They might get one for Christmas!
